I’m sorry to say that you are off to a bad start and I’m referring to your translation of the title. It simply does not make sense. You have made the rookie mistake of translating too literally, but I guess it’s inevitable to anyone who just started out. This also applies to the prologue where you are unsure of how to translate a sentence. Instead of translating word for word, try keeping the meaning of the sentence instead. To me, it is more important that the translation reads naturally while keeping the intended meaning rather than reading poorly due to you trying to translate every single word. Also bear in mind that Japanese and English have different sentence structure. Read out aloud to yourself your translated text and see if it sounds natural. English sentence have more of an active voice while Japanese tends to be more passive.
Thank you for your critique. Ill take what you said into consideration but I don’t believe i will get better instantly. Of course you are correct this is my first translation project and i am still a Japanese student. If you continue to read id be happy to hear more from you as i hopefully improve along the way.
